  • The merit list-cum-preference will be the basic principle of admission for CLAT 2015 and the allotment of candidates to various NLUs will be based on the same. Hence, an online counseling would take place after the announcement of the CLAT 2015 results, wherein the candidates will be able to mark the preferences of the NLUs for admission within the stipulated period mentioned in the schedule.
  • The first 2500 candidates (comprising 40% extra candidates proportionately from various categories such as General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc.) in the merit list will be allowed to participate in the online counselling against the actual seats available with the participating NLUs, through their Log In account and depositing the adjustable fees of  1, 00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) either online/offline through the website.
  • Candidates failing to deposit the required fees through the website with the CLAT Office by the specified date will forfeit their right to be considered for admission in future and their names will be dropped from the CLAT Merit List.
  • A list of waitlisted candidates will also be issued along with the Provisional Allotment List, from the first 2500 candidates who had undertaken the counselling after remitting the fees. The comprehensive list will be prepared by picking up candidates proportionately from various categories such as General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD/DFF/NRI etc. both from the All India and State (Domicile) category of candidates.
  • If required, the CLAT Office will publish three more times the Subsidiary List of candidates allotted to various Universities against the actual left out seats.
  • Those candidates who fail to report to the Universities and complete the admission formalities before the deadline will forfeit their claim for admission and their seats will be filled-up by the University by following its own procedure and not by the CLAT Office. The respective Universities will be reporting the details of admission to the CLAT Office before the deadline including the number of vacancies that might remain due to non-reporting of the candidates allotted under the lst, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Actual Allotment List. This would help the CLAT Office make the declaration of the final allotment on the last day and complete the admission process on the same day.

  • A candidate will have to make payment on three occasions through CLAT website viz.
    • submitting the online application form
    • if interested in downloading the previous year’s question papers and
    • while participating in the counseling session. The mode of payment through the website is both online and offline
  • The online payment can be made through net-banking, debit card, credit card etc. wherein the candidate will have to bear the additional transaction costs for remitting the fees through payment gateways
  • For paying the fees offline through website, the candidate will have to download the 'Bank Challan' that will be generated with the required information, as filled in by the candidate, and make the payment with additional bank charges at any branch of the SBI. After making the requisite payment at the bank, the candidate needs to upload the scanned PDF copy of the 'Bank Challan' and also fill-in the details as required at the relevant section of the website.

Fees:
The fees to be remitted while submitting the online application form of CLAT 2015 for General/OBC/PWD and other category candidates is Rs.4000/- (for SC and ST category candidates it is Rs.3500/-), excluding the bank charges or additional transaction costs for remitting the fees offline/online through payment gateways.
